Cactus Outdoor was founded in 2003 to meet the demands of the downhill biking customer. Our company has grown to four bike shops, a rental and guiding company, Cactus Adventures, and a thriving internet and ebay business.
Our bike shops are located in Ahwatukee, Chandler and Pinetop, Arizona. The Ahwatukee shop was our first store and was tucked away, next to the South Mountain trails and the Pima Canyon trailhead. This store moved in September, 2006 to Elliot and 48th Street (between Safeway and Walgreens) which increases our space to 3000 square feet. At the same time, the store is only 1/2 mile from the South Mountain trails and the closest store to South Mountain by several miles. The Ahwatukee store handles our internet and rental business. Fish is the man at Cactus Bike Ahwatukee. Customers travel for miles to have Fish work with them on their bikes. He has been mentioned in many of the mountain bike forums as one of the best mechanics (and best bike guys) in the Valley. Many customers say they wouldn't trust their bike to anyone but Fish!
The Chandler store opened before Christmas, 2003 and continues to meet the needs of the Ocotillo and Sun Lakes communities with awesome comfort, recumbent, BMX, kids and mountain bikes of all sorts from Giant, Haro, Electra, DK, and Sun. Helmets for everyone, tubes of all sizes, tires to meet every need, computers, lights, hydration packs, BMX race gear and every accessory for your bike can be found in our 2000 square foot Chandler store.
Opened in summer of 2008, Cactus Bike Pinetop is a seasonal store in the beautiful White Mountains. We are open at this location from Memorial Day until September 30th.
Look for us in Chandler Fashion Mall from November through end of December. We began this seasonal store during the Christmas season 2006 and have had a lot of fun providing Christmas presents and stocking stuffers during this very busy retail season.
Cactus Bike hires top quality mechanics who guarantee their work and who will gladly repair your bike for you or recommend the parts you may need to do it yourself if you wish. Because bikes are sometimes difficult to transport with the average family vehicle (and, frankly, who wants to anyway), Cactus Bike provides a delivery service. For a $10 delivery fee in most cases, Cactus Bike will come to your home, pick up the bike that needs repair, fix it, and return it to you. Typically, we can have someone at your house within 24 hours and your bike back to you within just a day or two. No hassle, no mess, no fuss - nice and easy - so you can get back on your bike. (Obviously, the fee to fix your bike is above and beyond the $10 delivery fee :).
